§ 10-22. Authorization of other types of alarms; authority to prescribe additional regulations.

  • (a)

    A person shall not install or maintain an alarm system except for the purpose of eliciting responses to burglaries, robberies, panic/duress, or fire and emergency medical situations unless specifically authorized by the chief.

    (b)

    If innovations in alarm systems or other types of alarm devices adversely affect emergency services of the city, the chief may promulgate other rules and regulations in order to protect the city's emergency service.
