§ 110-228. Sewer tap fees.

  • (a)

    The sewer service installation or tap fee in an amount as determined from time to time by ordinance shall be paid to the city for materials, labor, equipment time and overhead to make the tap and extend the sewer service lateral from the sanitary sewer mains to the nearest street or alley property line or easement line. These fees are for new service installations where no sewer service exists or for sewer service size or sewer service location changes. For sewer service location changes, an additional fee in an amount as determined from time to time by ordinance based on costs shall be paid for removing the old sewer tap on the sewer main.

    (b)

    In subdivisions where sewer service laterals are installed by the developer, an inspection fee in an amount as determined from time to time by ordinance for inspecting the connection of the building sewer to the sewer service lateral and the sewer cleanout at the property or easement line is applicable.
